Lubricating Gel
0.5% / 1% / 50 IU/mL
Product Overview
This is a compounded topical formulation designed to support vaginal mucosal hydration, tissue comfort, and elasticity. It may be used in individuals experiencing vaginal dryness due to genitourinary syndrome of menopause (GSM) or other conditions that cause dryness. This combination supports vaginal health and comfort by promoting moisture retention and hormonal support.
Hyaluronic Acid1,2
Hyaluronic acid is a glycosaminoglycan that plays a key role in maintaining skin and tissue hydration, elasticity, and integrity. It also contributes to wound healing. With age, natural hyaluronic acid levels decline, resulting in drier, less elastic skin and mucosal tissues.
Dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA)3,4,5
DHEA is an endogenous steroid hormone primarily produced in the adrenal cortex, with minor synthesis in the gonads and brain. It acts as a precursor to both androgens and estrogens, including testosterone and estradiol. DHEA levels naturally decrease with age, and supplementation may support age-related hormone decline, adrenal function, mood, and sexual health. Transdermal DHEA is compounded in a cream or gel for skin application, allowing systemic absorption while bypassing hepatic first-pass metabolism, potentially providing more stable hormone levels with fewer side effects than oral administration.
Vitamin E6,7
Vitamin E (tocopherol) is a fat-soluble vitamin that acts as an antioxidant, protecting cell membranes. As the body cannot produce vitamin E, it must be obtained from external sources. Vitamin E may prevent reactive oxygen species formation and support the biosynthesis of collagen and glycosaminoglycans in the skin. It has potential benefits in various dermatological conditions, including atopic dermatitis, epidermolysis bullosa, psoriasis, wound healing, melasma, scleroderma, and acne vulgaris.
Hyaluronic Acid1,2
Hyaluronic acid is thought to work through two mechanisms 1) as a passive structural molecule and 2) as a signaling molecule (based on its molecular size). Hyaluronic acid has hydgroscopicity and viscoelasticity properties. It is highly anionic that can attract water. This attraction of water provides the ability of the skin to create volume and provide structural support. The signaling mechanism may be facilitated by its anti-inflammatory properties through its effects on cell migration and cell division.
DHEA3,4,5
DHEA is a prohormone, meaning its physiological effects are largely mediated through conversion to active androgens (like testosterone) and estrogens (like estradiol).

Vitamin E6,7
Gamma (γ) tocopherol is the most abundant vitamin E in the diet and alpha (α) tocopherol is the most abundant form of vitamin E in the skin. These forms of vitamin E are thought to inhibit the production of prostaglandin and nitric oxide, protect skin cells from sunburn and generally prevent oxidative stress in the skin.
