Tirzepatide Description 1-4
Tirzepatide is a novel dual agonist of the glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (GIP) and glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptors. It is administered as a once-weekly subcutaneous injection and is indicated for use alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity to support reduction of excess body weight and the long-term maintenance of weight reduction in adults with obesity or who are overweight.
