Product Overview

MI / B-Complex (B2, B3, B5) / Chromium / Carnitine (Trimtropic II) Description1-10

Trimtropic II is a formulation that combines the ingredients listed below and is intended to support weight management when used in conjunction with appropriate nutrition, dietary choices, and exercise programs.

  • Methionine: An essential sulfur-containing amino acid involved in protein synthesis and methylation pathways.

  • Inositol: A sugar alcohol structurally related to glucose that plays a role in cell signaling and insulin responsiveness.

  • Riboflavin (Vitamin B₂): A water-soluble vitamin required for oxidative energy metabolism and proper enzyme activity.

  • Niacinamide (Vitamin B₃): The amide form of niacin that supports cellular energy production and redox reactions as a component of NAD and NADP coenzymes.

  • Pantothenic Acid (Vitamin B₅): A vitamin necessary for the synthesis of coenzyme A and the metabolism of fatty acids.

  • Methylcobalamin (Vitamin B₁₂): The active form of vitamin B₁₂, essential for methylation processes, nervous system function, and red blood cell formation.

  • Chromium Picolinate: A trace mineral complex with evidence supporting a role in insulin activity and glucose metabolism.

  • L-Carnitine: An amino acid derivative that facilitates the transport of fatty acids into mitochondria for oxidation and is present in high concentrations in skeletal and cardiac muscle.

Mechanism of Action1-10

Methionine- Supports methylation reactions and may assist in lipid metabolism; methionine restriction is associated with improved metabolic markers in some models.

Inositol- May improve insulin signaling via phosphatidylinositol pathways; explored in PCOS and metabolic syndrome.

Riboflavin (B₂)- Cofactor in flavoprotein enzymes (FAD, FMN) involved in carbohydrate, fat, and protein metabolism.

Niacinamide (B₃)- Provides NAD/NADP for redox reactions critical to ATP production and lipid metabolism.

Pantothenic Acid- Integral for CoA and acyl-carrier proteins, enabling fatty acid oxidation and biosynthesis.

Methylcobalamin (B12)- Supports homocysteine remethylation and DNA synthesis; assists in energy conversion indirectly.

Chromium Picolinate- May enhance insulin receptor sensitivity and carbohydrate metabolism.

L-Carnitine- Transports long-chain fatty acids across mitochondrial membranes for beta-oxidation (energy production).

Common 1-10

Methionine- Possible increase in homocysteine levels; rare GI discomfort or headaches.

Inositol- Generally well tolerated; high doses may cause nausea, bloating, dizziness, or fatigue.

Riboflavin (B₂)- Generally safe; may cause bright yellow urine.

Niacinamide (B₃)- High doses may cause flushing (less so than niacin), nausea, or elevated liver enzymes.

Pantothenic Acid- Mild GI upset or diarrhea at high doses.

Methylcobalamin (B12)- Injection site soreness, rare diarrhea or skin rash.

Chromium Picolinate- Headache, dizziness, nausea; high doses may affect kidney or liver function.

L-Carnitine- Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea; insomnia and restlessness reported with higher doses.

Methionine- Use caution in cardiovascular disease, hyperhomocysteinemia, or hepatic impairment.

Contraindications & Precautions 1-10

Inositol- Monitor use in those with bipolar disorder or insulin therapy; consult physician.

Riboflavin (B₂)- No known major contraindications; generally safe in most populations.

Niacinamide (B₃)- Caution in liver disease or diabetes; monitor liver enzymes.

Pantothenic Acid- Generally safe; rare hypersensitivity reactions have been reported.

Methylcobalamin- Avoid in hereditary optic neuropathy (Leber’s disease); monitor for polycythemia.

Chromium Picolinate- Avoid in patients with renal or hepatic impairment; caution with concurrent NSAIDs or corticosteroids.

L-Carnitine- Avoid or closely monitor in seizure disorders and end-stage renal disease; not recommended during pregnancy without supervision.

Store at room temperature; protect from light moisture and heat. DO NOT REFRIGERATE.
