Nandrolone Decanoate Description1-6
Nandrolone Decanoate is a long-acting anabolic androgenic steroid (AAS) administered via intramuscular injection. It is the decanoate ester of nandrolone, a synthetic derivative of testosterone with reduced androgenic properties and enhanced anabolic activity. These characteristics support its medical use in the treatment of anemia, particularly anemia associated with chronic kidney disease, and in the management of muscle wasting related to chronic illness, such as HIV/AIDS, or prolonged corticosteroid use. Nandrolone decanoate is compounded in a sterile, oil-based vehicle suitable for deep intramuscular injection under aseptic conditions.

Nandrolone binds to androgen receptors and stimulates anabolic activity, promoting protein synthesis and inhibiting protein catabolism. It enhances nitrogen retention in muscle tissues and stimulates erythropoiesis through increased erythropoietin production.
